Our little family had another relaxed day - definitely a good way to spend the weekend. The closest thing I have to a recipe for you today is the following instruction: DRIVE TO CORA'S FOR BREAKFAST!
We had a delicious meal there this morning. The little Diva was in her element. She was SUPER impressed when our server brought her some crayons in a cup and a picture to colour. She got to pour the crayons out, put them back in the cup, scribble a little and repeat the process. There were crayons on the floor, in her highchair, on the table and even a few in the cup!
She also discovered that it was super fun to stack the little milk and cream containers. These too ended up in various corners of the restaurant. Then there was the toast that Daddy shared with her - oooh and the jam containers that she was able to stack over and over again! She was also super impressed with the fruit from my plate - she got apples, grapes and banana's and even ate some of them before spreading the rest. She was NOT impressed with my buckwheat pancakes - although she did eat the majority of my cheese!! She sure loves her cheese.
We also came prepared with chocolate cookies and milk. The Little Diva ate her porridge before we left for the restaurant but I was still surprised by home much she managed to squeeze in. When she got tired of stacking things and nibbling on things we were able to distract her with some stickers. She LOVES stickers. They end up stuck to her, to daddy, to mommy, and everywhere in between. I'm waiting for the day I spot a forlorn, sticker covered cat hiding under the bed!!
Just before we were done eating the Little Diva pipes up in a teeny weeny little voice and says, "PEEEEEEZ, PEEEEEEEEEZ, PEEEEEEEEZ". We finally figured out she was pointing at the ketchup. As soon as she had a squirt of it on her plate and a piece of toast to dunk in it she was happy again. Just so you know - she didn't actually eat the toast - it was merely a dunking tool that she licked the ketchup off of!
